The Institute for Rural Development and Social services is formed in 1987 to serve the purpose of education in rural area, agricultural developments , education for handicaps , mentally challenged children and rehabilitation of them in the main stream of the society. In the decade of eighties there were rare working NGOs in the field because of the need to accept it as a social challenge.
That time no convenient school in the Jalgaon city area , for the basic education of the child having special needs. Considering the social need we established Utkarsh Vidyalay For Mentally Challenged Children.
Today at this school 79 children are studying. We appointed well trained teachers and care-takers staff for them. The school is running in a well equiped building at khotenagar Jalgaon.The students have faciliated school Bus for the access from home to the school. The students of above 18 , are goes through rehabilitation workshop for vocational training of file Making , spice Pouch filling and Packinging etc.
To be a child labourer is the bad-tradition and a mark of disgrace our society.At the age of Play , joy and learning they sent in the dangerous industry , become addicted and do the crime , to solve the problem law has been made by the central government. Respectable collector , Jalgaon invited many of NGOs to Work with Government , in the child – labourer rehabilitation Programme , we are of the invited and most successful organisation of them. We proud that 50 child – labourer students are learning in the school and 400 are rehabilited in the main stream education.
There are innumerable institutes working in the field of traditional education system , but we choose the different way. we established the Vikas Tantraniketan Jr. Colloge (Since 1993). We are trying hard to train the youths and maiden for vocational skills. The students are thought and trained for Construction Technology , Rental Marketing , Pre School Management , old age care taking , and Ngo Professional working. I am glad to say that, large number of youths and maiden are settled in their own firms , Professions and private jobs.
Along with these social activities we also contributing since last 30 years for the conservation of water and soil , social afforestation , Handloom carpet weaving etc. We are continuously contributing our share in service of society. We have great aspirations for social services. But limited time and resources. I request the visionaries of the society to join hands with us in this work of social upliftments.
