The concept of vocational courses aims at providing opportunities of self – employment or availing of employment at minimum basic training and skill enhancement. The said scheme also carries the purpose of reducing the expenses on the higher education. Jalgaon being one of the districts considered as developing district in the state, and also opening of opportunities in the variety of fields such as Construction, Marketing, Sales, Production, Agriculture, Science, Information and Technology and Education. IRDSS envisaged the idea of Vikas Tantra Niketan – Junior college and established it in the year 1993 having following vocational courses.
Building Maintenance: The said course is affiliated to the Higher Secondary Certificate Board and the students with qualification of 10th pass can be admitted to the said course.
The duration of the course is 2 years. The main subjects for the said vocational course are building repairs and maintenance with other subjects such as English and Marathi with General foundation course as compulsory subjects.
Sales and Marketing skills: The said course is affiliated to the Higher Secondary Certificate Board and the students with qualification of 10th pass can be admitted to the said course. The duration of the course is 2 years. The main subjects for the said vocational course are sales and marketing with other subjects such as English and Marathi with GFC as compulsory subjects.
Management of pre primary school and crèche: The said course is affiliated to the Higher Secondary Certificate Board and the students with qualification of 10th pass can be admitted to the said course. The said course is exclusively for the females. The duration of the course is 2 years. The main subjects for the said vocational course are related to pre-primary education, crèche management, nutrition and health, common illness including seasonal infections, child development and child psychology with other subjects such as English and Marathi with GFC as compulsory subjects.
On the Job Training: The true field or work experience need to be given to bring in the perfection in the learning of theory and practical while at studies. In order to give the work experience to the students, opting for various vocational courses subject wise on job training is organized for them.
